Frisky is my tough guy. I adopted him in 1986 from a family whose cat had kittens. He's supposedly Persian, Himalayan and calico.

I placed him in two cats shows when he was younger. In his first he won 6th place in the Household Pet category.

This is Frisky with Kearra, when she was a kitten. He was never happy about her sleeping on him; now he loves to snuggle up with her.

Feb '00: Since he went off chemo, he's had blood checkups every few months. Last year his kidney levels were slightly elevated. We put him on KD (though not exclusively since we free-feed) and kept an eye on him. Everything looked find until now.

His levels are higher than they were last year. The vet recommends putting him on fluid treatments (he had his first one yesterday) and potassium supplements. We'll see in a couple of weeks what the status is. However, the vet feels this will be what does him in, and that he will be on these treatments for the remainder of his life.
